I have used on one font throughout my whole digipak and magazine advertise, which is called Ambient. Although this font could not be found on the fonts available on Photoshop. so i had to download it from a programme called 'Fontcase'.
In terms of colours I must follow the 'three colour rule' meaning our colours should not consist of more than three. All of which are appropriate in conjunction with the images, font and background.
i want to use three colours. These include:
- Black
- White
- Grey
This colours are very appropriate in conjunction with the message i am trying to get across in my album. This should be minimalistic.
In terms of layout I must use a layout that follows the rule of thirds for composition. This is so the image on the magazine only takes up a third of the entire space. Also making sure that no text is covering the artists face or anypart of the artist body which may lead to the audience being unsure about who they are.
When making my digipak, i will be taken under consideration that the artsist is new. Therefore the audience must be able to identity with him. so it is essential that i have an image which shows my artist 'Ayo' very clearly. This should be a picture where 'Ayo' is looking directly at the camera and therefore breaking the fourth wall. It should on the other not be a profile picture because the audience with not be able to identity with the new artist, which is essential.
In terms of design ideas I must not use any unnecessary effects which perhaps do not link to my genre. Any effects used must suit the genre otherwise I should discard the idea of this effect.
