I will be looking at some digipaks, some of which are students previous work and others which are from actual real artists. All the three digipaks below relate to my music video genre, which is a bit broad, consisting of pop, indie and abit of dubstep. Analysis 1 ![]() |

I think this digipak is very good as covers all the conventions of ancillary products.
- colours complement the album name and artist in terms of genre. In addition the title includes the words 'Red Kisses' therefire they have implemented a colour which completements the name as kisses are red.
- The 'three colour rule' has been followed using red white and black. These colours make it look very classy and sophisticated.
- Everything is in place, as it all seems to link in and therefore connects with each aspect.
- The font is clear and really goes with the artist and genre.
- All pictures are in focus
However one aspect which i didnt find worked well was the lady at the back, the lighting as well as the focus wasnt very good. this could have been improved. but apart from that one negative point, i am unable to point out any more negative aspects.

- The artist has also followed the 'three colour rule' using yellow, green and white. These colours work well with eachother and also hold a significance. This is becuase a tree is green and they have followed the this colour throughout the whole digipak

However one aspects which i dont really like about the digipak is the fact that that it doesnt cover all the conventions of ancillary products. This is becuase it does not follow the 'three colour rule' as it consists of more than three colours. It includes the colours brown, white, blue and red. This may not be a good idea for the digipak becuase it may confuse the audience to what subliminal messages the artist is trying to get across. For example if an artist used black and white throughout the whole digipak, this would be effective becuase the audience would know that the album is about darkness and clarity where thing are just black and white.
