Through the study of AS Media Studies I have learned a lot in both theoretical and practical aspects. Theoretically I have developed my knowledge on how media ownership works and what really entails the production of movies. In addition to this my analytic skills have also really developed through the analysis of TV dramas and also the film industry.
Furthermore I have seen my skills in film making really expand, since I was first starting in GCSE Media till now where I have progressed onto A-level Media, which is quite a step up. Film making of course contains many aspects, most importantly the filming, where the footage is captured and the editing where all this footage is put together and edited to ultimately form a chosen narrative. I have improved my Editing Skills in many ways; firstly my film sequences do not contain as much errors for example the use of unwanted jump cuts. The flow of sequence has also really excelled because I have become a lot better when using continuity editing which entails many match cuts.
