It is very difficult to decide what music video is the best example of the music video form, as the are an astonishing amout of music videos that have left an impression on me personally. One of these music video is 'Lady Gaga's Bad Romance'
What i love about this music video is the signifcance of the lyrics and how they relate to a young adults life who could have been trapped in a tragic relationship that was unhealthy and filled with bad 'romance'.
I love the simple colours used in this music video mainly white and black,simple and straight forward imply this music video being an example/advice to those caught up in an unhealthy love/hate realationship. The strong visual images of nudity suggest the insecureness and emptiness that most people are afraid of being exposed to. Another aspect that i imediately enjoyed watching in this music video is the frequent instant fast beat, which gives the track a rapid consistent pace. Along side with all the above i found the verse chorus structure to be very effective as it was simmilar to a life story narration. i though that the frequent use of 'bad romance' as the chorus set across a strong firm meaning with the lighting of the back being fairly dim that not everything has to be as dark as it may seem put a stop to it.
